High Water Closes Rogue Farms

The Willamette River crept up another four inches this morning, high enough for us to decide to close Rogue Farms until further notice.

We’d be closed on Christmas Day regardless, so it just made sense to play it safe and wait until the flood waters receded and Wigrich Road is safe to drive.

Wigrich Road was covered in water in several places, so we closed off the entire section.

While the floods aren't as high as other years, the currents are swift and dangerous.

Here’s a video we shot while driving Wigrich Road this morning.

Happy as pigs in mud, Voo and Doo are enjoying the weather. When it gets too cold, they'll head back inside their pen.

We don’t know when it will be oaky to reopen. Please check back here for the latest information. Or call us at 503-838-9813.

Centuries of flooding is what created the alluvial soils here at Rogue Farms, so we don’t mind a little rain and some inconvenience. It’s just Mother Nature keeping us on our toes! When we reopen, please come to the farm and see how we grow beers, spirits, ciders and sodas even when it’s cold and damp.
